Mysterious doors begin appearing all over the world. Those who walk through them never return sane, if they return at all. Henry is a social worker trying to help one of the few who has returned with some semblance of a mind when he discovers he is being hunted by a shadowy group for unknown reasons. Commander Wight leads a group of mercenaries through a war torn region on a different quest until all roads converge.
